VON DOUSSA-On the 7th November, at Hahndorf, the wife of Alfred Von Doussa, of a daughter.

Dorothea married Hubert Melville Jay in Hahndorf, South Australia on 14 November 1914.[3] The following wedding report was published in the South Australian newspaper, The Observer, on 21 November 1914:[4]

The marriage of Doctor Hubert Jay, son of Doctor Melville Jay, of Adelaide, and Dorothea, daughter of Mr. A. von Doussa, of Hahndorf, was quietly celebrated on Saturday, November 14. The ceremony took place at Detmold, the residence of the bride's parents, and the service was conducted by the Rev. Father Lamby. In place of the usual wedding gown the bride was charmingly frocked in a toilette of ivory chiffon taffetas. The yoked skirt was made with a tunic reaching to the hem, and the smart 'Wallow-tail" coatee showed a dainty, blouse of ninon and lace. Her bat was lined with pale pink ninon and wreathed with palest pink roses around a soft crown of crepe de chine. She carried a sheaf of Christmas lillies. Miss Grace Hill acted as bridesmaid, wearing a modish frock of shell pink crepe de chine and hat of white taffetas arranged with pink pop pies and carrying a posy of pink blossoms. The best man was Mr. R. Rees. A small reception was afterwards held by Mr. and Mrs. von Doussa, the latter wearing a handsome frock of mole crepe de chine, with a touch of Oriental silk veiled with ninon and a white tagel hat with blank ostrich feathers. Among the guests were Dr. and Mrs. Melville Jay, Mrs. Jay being smartly dressed in pale grey crene de chine and hat with grey and white plumes; Mr. and Mrs. Cowan, the latter wearing white embroidered voile with a Tuscan hat arranged with a blue and old gold floral mount: Mr. and Mrs. Byard, Mrs. Leader, Miss Marjorie Hill, and Mr. Hack. The bride's travelling frock was a coat and skirt of blue satin de luxe worn with a hat to match. The. honeymoon is being spent at Victor Harbour (sic).

Dorothea was buried at the Centennial Park Cemetery in Pasadena, South Australia on 14 August 1970.[6]
